PIXMA ix6820 ink smudge on backside of paper

Hi, I was wondering if people knew how to clean the ink rollers of a pixma ix6820. Whenever I print, there seems to be an imprint of an old print job on the backside of the paper. I'm assuming its because the rollers are dirty and covered in ink. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi I have done this procedure already and it seems this procedure is more for cleaning paper particles and if the paper is not being fed properly. I don’t have issues with the paper being fed nor paper particles, but if this procedure also works for ink smudges should I run it a couple of times more?

Hi Bu_bby,

Please try performing a bottom plate cleaning:

iX6800 series > Cleaning the Printer > Cleaning the Inside of the Printer (Bottom Plate Cleaning)

I don't think it would hurt. I also suggest purchasing some roller cleaning sheets from Amazon.

I’ve done the bottom plate cleaning and it doesn’t seem to work. Weirdly enough the print smudge mainly seems to appear when I print specifically on 4 by 6

Continuous Printing
