New PIXMA G3270 became unresponsive during setup

I followed the startup program and everything went fine until it began printing. There was no paper in it, yet it started to print. Then it claimed there was a paper jam. But there is no paper in it. Now all of the info and buttons on the front of the printer stopped working, the screen is blank. The printer setting in my system settings says it’s offline. I don’t even know if it set up everything or not. It won't let me continue.
I’ve restarted my computer and printer but still nothing. The buttons in the front of the printer do not work and the orange lightning triangle stays on. The printer can’t even be shut off, so I unplugged it.
After complete restart for both computer and printer there is still no response.
Is there anything you could tell me to fix this. Otherwise I’m returning it.
I’ve never had any problem with Canon products. This is very disappointing.

If your Canon PIXMA G3270 became unresponsive during setup, here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

🔁 1. Power Cycle the Printer
Sometimes a simple restart can resolve unresponsiveness.

Turn off the printer.

Unplug it from the power outlet.

Wait about 30 seconds.

Plug it back in and turn it on.

📶 2. Check Display or Indicator Lights
See if there are any error messages or blinking lights on the control panel.

A blinking pattern could indicate a specific error (refer to the manual or I can help interpret them if you describe them).

📲 3. Reset the Printer
If it’s stuck during setup (e.g., Wi-Fi setup or initial configuration), a reset might help.

Press and hold the Stop button until the alarm lamp flashes 21 times, then release it.
This performs a network settings reset.

To perform a factory reset:

Press the Setup button (gear icon) on the printer.

Navigate to Device Settings.

Choose Reset settings → Reset all.

📡 4. Check Wi-Fi or USB Connection
If you were connecting via:

Wi-Fi: Ensure your network is working and the printer is close enough to the router.

USB: Make sure the cable is securely connected, and try a different port if needed.

💻 5. Re-run Setup on PC or Phone
Go to the official Canon website and download the latest G3270 driver or setup utility.

If using the Canon PRINT app, close and relaunch it, or reinstall the app.

️If All Else Fails
Let me know:

At what exact point the setup froze (e.g., connecting to Wi-Fi, installing ink, registering the printer).

What device you're using for setup (Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android).

Any error codes or screen messages.

I'll help you with more specific steps!

Thanks for answering. None of the display buttons work at all. It died shortly after installing the ink. On it's own it started to print. But there was no paper in it. Then it gave the paper  jam message I believe it was 1300. At that point the display went blank and no response at all. I did restart both printer and computer. Also I could not shut it off, it had to be unplugged.

My patience is gone and I returned it. There is no reason for this. It was poorly made and now I'm somewhat disillusioned with Canon.

But thank you for answering.
