I just bought and set up the IX6280. I got one print out but apart from that it just spits paper out and the yellow signal starts to flash. I've yet to get anything to print apart from one standard piece of paper.

Thanks for joining the conversation, evangebacon!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using. To date, Canon hasn't made a model with the name iX6280, but you mentioned that it might be in the 6800 range instead. To verify, please let us know the model number the appears on your printer. It should be on the front of the unit at the upper left. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hi!! It’s the Pixma IX6820. So it is giving me an error code saying the paper sizing is wrong. But it only does that with vellum (transparency) paper. Real paper it does print. I don’t have a “media” option that says transparency or anything to tell it like that. The only options are photo, plain, and envelope. My other canon printer has a transparency option but this doesn’t.

Hi Evangebacon! Thanks for contributing to the Canon Community. I see that the printer is not feeding the vellum/ transparency paper that you are using.
When the Orange Alarm light blinks twice (or 21 times), the printer is having trouble with the paper size (not the paper type). This printer has the ability to sense the width of the paper. If the width of the paper does not match the paper size setting you are choosing on your computer or mobile device, the error will pop up. You can find information about the error indications in the following link:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/W/iX6800%20series/EN/UG/ug_trouble0300.html
I must warn you that vellum (or transparency paper) is not a recommended paper type for this printer. Although the paper type is not what is causing the trouble, please note that Canon does not test the iX6820 with this paper. We do not know what the long-term effects of using this paper are because the printer is not designed to print on that paper. It is up to you if you want to continue using it. If you still plan on using it, I recommend making sure the paper thickness is between 17 lb (64 g /m2) and 28 lb (105 g /m2).
To start troubleshooting the error, I recommend that you make sure that the paper is being loaded properly. Please make sure that the paper is loaded in the portrait orientation (not landscape). Here is a link to information that will help with loading paper:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/W/iX6800%20series/EN/BG/bg-loading1400.html
Next, please make sure that the Paper Size setting on your computer matches the size of the paper you are loading. When the print window (dialog box) pops up, you should be able to select the Paper Size. For example, if your paper is 8.5 x 11 inches, please make sure to select Letter. If you do not see a Paper Size option in the print window that pops up, please check if there is an option for "More Print Options" or "More Settings." Here is a link to information regarding printing from a computer.

If this information does not help, it is possible that your computer might be missing the printer driver. If you don't recall installing the printer driver, you can download it from the following website:
