PIXMA TS9520a scanning with black streak in document scan mode

TS2024
Apprentice

OS: Windows 11
Printer: Canon Pixma TS9520a
Scanning Software: Canon IJ Scan Utility

When scanning documents through the ADF-Manual Duplex mode, the scanner creates a long black streak on the document. It's always in the same approximate location (see below images). This only happens when using the ADF tray and document scan, not if I use "auto" and place it directly on the scanner glass.

I really need to fix this because I can't have all the documents I scan contain a black streak. This is a brand new Pixma TS9520a. I just purchased it on September 6, 2024

Hi TS2024,

When scanning from the glass, the scanning element moves back and forth to scan your document.

When scanning using the automatic document feeder, the paper moves and the scanning element stay in one place.

When a line appears when scanning from the automatic document feeder, it is because there is something on the scan glass that is transferring to the scanned image.

Please open the automatic document feeder and clean the scan glass indicated in the image below.
