My printer works great except when printing photos. What am I doing wrong. Here's the outcome.
The ink just beads up and fads away.

It looks like photo paper doesn't absorb ink. It's recommended to replace the photo paper and try it out

Hey There!
This might seem silly, but can you please check which side of the paper is being printed on? Is it the shiny side or the other side? Please also let us know what program you're using to print, your operating system on your computer, and the specific printer model. It'll be on the top or the front and say something like PIXMA TS83XX and the XX will have a specific number!

Photo printed on shiny side. Printing to reg paper comes out fine. Canon is model TS8322. Printing is from Android phone.

Shiny side is not necessarily the coated side, particularly with resin-coated papers (which are plastic with a special coating on the printing side). To test, wet a finer tip and touch a corner of the paper. The side to be printed on will be tacky to the touch. It is absorbing the moisture on your finer as it would the ink.
