I've bought a new TS6520, and can scan from my PC but cannot manage to scan from the operation pannel. My PC is Windows 11 with the latest patch, and the latest driver from DerrickL (md__-win-ts5500_ts6500_ts6500i-1_00-ea34_2.exe) installed.
Printer and PC are conneted through WIFI, I have Canon Network scanner selector EX2 installed and running, I see my printer from its settings and have checked the box next to it in the Scan-from-Operation-Panel menu.
On the operation pannel, I click on Scan, Save to PC, then I get a prompt to select a PC, and my PC is listed on the second line, just below Local (USB).
I select my PC, click on OK and get a menu with two choices, autoscan or my PC name. I click on my PC, and instantly go back to the menu to select a PC.
Is there anything I am missing ? Could it be a Windows 11 Firewall (I've left all settings to default values) ? Do you know of a test tool to troubleshoot communication between printer and PC? Again, I can print and scan from my PC with no problems. It is just whn I try to scan from the Operation Panel.
thanks a lot.

Greetings,
If the LCD panel is going back to the select the destiation PC option, its likely indicating an inability to resolve the hostname on the network.
I have the path to my primary PC saved as an entry in my addressbook, so I've not encountered an issue like this. My printer has a static IP assigned. I use DHCP for other devices that come and go or those which are used infrequently.
Hostname resolution is only as good as the DNS that's maintained on your router. Most consumer grade products are less robust. IP's can change frequently and the printer is usually working from a cached entry.
Start by creating an addressbook entry for the destination. Here is an example.
Do not use an IP address for the host name unless you're using a static IP for the printer. If you need help with any of this just ask. 🙂

Thank you shadowsports
I've managed to set in my router a static IP address for my Pixma, and on the printer Operation panel, I did a "search again", then selected my PC, but still nothing happens.
You've mentioned "Start by creating an addressbook entry for the destination." What software shall I use to edit the PIXMA address book? I could not see an address book using Canon Print nor by logging to my printer from the web. Thanks

anybody has an update? Can someone manage to scan to PC from the operation panel of a Pixma TS6520 ? This Pixma product is very disapointing. Its software and user guide are not user friendly.
