PIXMA TS6420a All-In-One: red shadows on text

Hello, I'm running into a bizarre error.

Some documents (not all), are printing very dark, and with a red shadowy effect on the text like they are meant to be read with 3D glasses. I had the printer perform an automatic print head alignment, as well as a nozzle cleaning, but the issue continues. Other documents that do not suffer from this issue seem to be printing comparatively lighter and with less contrast. My ink cartridges are new and full.

I have tried this across multiple different documents, PDFs and PNGs, printing from different devices, and with different print settings (Contrast adjustments, Borderless mode, and so on), without helping. Turning up the contrast just made the shadow appear as black dots above

I found another user with a similar issue who posted on here, but the maintenance they were advised to perform is not available on my printer, and I have already performed all of the maintenance options available on my model.

This is on Windows 10, as well as via the PIXMA Android app, printing to a PIXMA TS6420a All-In-One, that's only about a year old. I have a warranty for it so could return if need be but I would much prefer to just fix the issue. Thank you for your help.

If this same red shadow problem manifests on numerous devices and apps, this sounds less like a software problem and more like a printhead/alignment issue. I would run a nozzle check pattern, and see how that looks, if that is also skewed I would consider going through the warranty if it's available while I still have it.

I concur with running a nozzle check, that can tell us a lot, if possible post it for us to see. I do have a queston however, are you using Canon Cartridges?
