PIXMA TS5350i prints one sheet and then stops

Canon Pixma TS5350i

Printer had been switched off for a few days but working prior to that. Tried to print today from my iPad. It printed one sheet then stopped. Printer itself seems to be working as I could install an update;  checked wifi connections appear to be OK. Printer app says SKErrorDomain error 4. Neither iPad nor iPhone will connect.
