I first had an E05 error. I pulled out the cartridges and cleaned off the gold contacts and reinstalled.
Now I'm getting the P10 error.
What can I do? I have no interest in doing the wasteful Cannon Upgrade. I want to fix my perfectly good printer.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi dcooksey71,
First, please try cleaning the encoder:
Clean the Encoder Film - TS3320 / TS3322
If the error persists, please try using two new genuine Canon ink cartridges.

Cleaning the encoder film did not work for me. Will I be refunded my money if I buy 2 brand new cartridges and that doesn’t work?

So you are telling me to go spend over $30 in ink cartridges just to see if it fixes the problem. And if it doesn’t fix the problem I’m just out $30 and wasted two brand new ink cartridges? If that doesn’t work, what’s the next proposed solution?

Hi dcooksey71,
The E 0 5 error occurs when the TS3322 does not detect the ink cartridge.
When replacing the cartridge, if the encoder gets anything on it, like grease, a fingerprint, ink, etc, a "P" error may occur.
Cleaning the encoder may clear the "P" error.
The "P" error can be caused by faulty ink cartridges as well.
If cleaning the encoder and replacing both ink cartridges does not clear the errors you are experiencing, your TS3322 would require service.
Even though you stated that you are not interested, you are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
