Just purchased the unit referenced above. I'm connected with a USB cable, no issue with the print and copy feature but having trouble with the scan function. Go through the menu directions save to PC/document/JPEG/start it says processing please wait momentarily then goes back to previous setup screen.

Hi,
We will need to see if the printer can scan using the scanning software for the printer. Please open the Canon Utilities folder (click the Windows start button and scroll down) and select IJ Scan Utility.
Once IJ Scan Utility is open, select either photo or document depending on what you are try to scan and then let us know if the printer was able to scan or if any error message appeared.
