PIXMA TR8620a shows printing but its not and i cant print anything else

when i go to the print que its shows like its printing but its not and i cant cancel it 

it happened when i ran out of paper on the last page of a document and when i put in new paper it did not print it and just shows the print job on the que as if its printing

i have unplugged and turned off both the computer and the printer but to no avail

any suggestions?

unfortunately i did not wait for your advice and did a hard reset.   i will now try to figure out how to reconnect my computer to the printer via wifi.  i have not been able to get the wifi to set up on the printer.

Hi marcpark,

To connect your PIXMA TR8620a to your Wi-Fi, please turn your printer on and then follow these steps:

1.  Please tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your printer's display.

2.  Next, select Wi-Fi.

3.  Select Wi-Fi setup.

4.  Select Manual connect.

5.  Select your home's wireless network name from the list.

6.  Tap "Please enter" to enable the onscreen keyboard and then enter your Wi-Fi password.

7.  Tap OK once entered.

If you are unable to connect, please try these steps:

1. Please tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your PIXMA TR8620's display.

2. Tap Wi-Fi.

3. Tap the Advanced button at the bottom of the display.

4. Tap TCP/IP settings.

5. Tap IPv6 and then Yes.

6. Tap Enable/disable IPv6 and then tap Disable.

7.  Attempt to connect using the previous steps listed above.

Once logged in, click on your PIXMA TR8620a and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support.
