PIXMA TR8620a: Scanning error, set the PC to start scanning

Bought TR8620a in Dec of 24 and have been scanning to computer often until today. I load docs to scan, save to PC, hit black ink and in return I get "Set the PC to start scanning". Can anyone provide ideas?
