PIXMA TR8620 will scan but not print

I'm using an iMac on Sonoma 14.5 and am connected to the printer wirelessly. It's connected to my WiFi.

No problems in 2 years but suddenly, today, when I try to print, the printer is "offline." I can still access the scanning capabilities and everything about the printer appears to be functioning properly. I've tried powering off a few times but can't get it to print. Help would be appreciated!

  • Remove and Re-add Printer: Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click on your TR8620, and click Remove Printer. Then, click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax... to re-add it.
  • Avoid Driver Conflicts: When re-adding, try using the AirPrint driver, as it often works better with Sonoma than older Canon drivers.
  • Update Drivers: Ensure you have the latest software from Canon.
