I have two pixma printers a 8620 and a 8220. Both have stopped printing when I copy something. The scanner works - I see a preview, but blank pages come out when I ask for a copy. The printer prints data from the computer, but will not print in copy mode. They used to print copies. Has there been an update to the printers that has interferred with the copy mode somehow? I went through the settings - checking all of them - every thing seems OK.
Any suggestions? or do I need to buy a new printer.....
Thanks,
Olga Wilson

Thanks for joining the conversation, Olga!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer models you're using. It sounds like one of your printers is the PIXMA TR8620 but we need some clarification on the other printer as we have more than one model with the number 8220 in their name. Do you have the PIXMA MG8220 or the PIXMA TS8220? That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hi billolga,
First, let's perform a test of your PIXMA TS8220:
1. Please turn your PIXMA TS8220 on.
2. Tap the gear icon at the bottom of your printer's display.
3. Tap Maintenace.
4. Tap Print nozzle check pattern.
Does your printout match the example below?
Next, we will perform the same test with your PIXMA TR8620:
1. Please turn your PIXMA TR8620 on.
2. Please tap the gear at the bottom of the display of your printer.
3. Tap Maintenance.
4. Tap Nozzle check.
5. Tap Yes.
Does the printout from your PIXMA TR8620 match the example below?
If the test from your PIXMA TS8220 did not print correctly, please follow the steps on this page from the manual to resolve it:
TS8200 series > Maintenance > If Printing Is Faint or Uneven > Maintenance Procedure
If the test from your PIXMA TR8620 did not print correctly, please follow the steps on this page from the manual to resolve it:
TR8600 series > Maintenance > If Printing Is Faint or Uneven > Maintenance Procedure

ThePIXMA TR8620 nozzle test pattern printed out 6 rows of colored rectangles - the C C M M Yand BK part. There were no lines at all at the top or PGBK printed. The TS8200 series printed all the lines - and now will print a copy instead of sending out a blank page. I will contact Cannon about replacing the TR8620. Thanks so much for your time and attention to my problem. Sincerely, Olga Wilson
