PIXMA TR8520 Paper jam in ADF

TR8520 - paper jam - while scanning the message says, "document in adf remove and tap ok" How do I release the jammed sheet - it is half in/out?

Please use the steps HERE to try and clear a paper jam from the ADF of your TR8520.
