PIXMA TR7820 will not print

Jzurlo1152

I’ve tried repeatedly to print a document from the Canon app, and the printer says “Printing” but nothing is happening. I checked the WiFi connections and the printer is definitely online. The app says it’s printing also.

Any suggestions?

Does the printer head move at all?

It moves right after the the print command is given, but then the screen continues to read with processing or printing data. Very frustrating!

It is hard to know if the printer itself is having an issue or it is a connection issue.  Can you do a test print from the printer control panel? If so is there a pc or laptop you can connect to using a USB cable?

To print a test page from the Canon PIXMA TR7820 printer panel, navigate to the printer's settings or maintenance menu, and select the option for printing a test page or nozzle check pattern. This will help you verify that the printer itself is functioning correctly.

I will try that. I know that one of the complaints about Canon printers is the connectivity issue. According to the Canon app the printer is online but my internet service isn’t the best, so that mat very well be the problem

I have great internet service, along with a whole house mesh system, but I still have my Canon printer connected to my pc by USB. Take it from an old Network techy (me) that Wired always performs better than wifi if you can use it.

Good advice, I’ll try that! Thanks!

No the printer is not printing the nozzle check pattern
