PIXMA TR7660a only wants to Fax

I have a TR7660a and out of the blue, it's decided it wants to only be a fax machine. I've removed the printer and reinstalled it, deleted and redownloaded the software and driver from the  Cannon website - I can't change the port.settings on my destop as there isnt an option. I'm ready to thorw my printer through a window.. please help,

In order for us to help, can you please provide the version and build of the operating system you're using the printer with.  Also how the printer is connected and to what.

It's possible that you have the default print destination set to fax instead of the printer.

Somewhere in your operating system, you have a setting issue, possibly the printer is not set as the default printer. We cannot be sure without knowing what operating system, what device you print from, and how your printer is connected.
