PIXMA TR4720 refuses to print, print jobs are visible but they don't print

Half the time this printer simply refuses to print.    Today I absolutely had to print some documents, and I can't.

Juist so frustrating.

Everything is updated on my computer on a weekly basis, so it's not the drivers.

Can someone recommend a printer brand that is actually reliable enough to count on?  Because this is my second PIXMA and they have both been equally unreliable.

What happens when you try to print? What operating system are you using? Many times it is not the printer causing the issue.

I doubt it's the Operating system (Win 11).

It's the unpredictability of it.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Sometimes it will work if I turn it off and on a couple of times.  Sometimes it sounds like it's going to work but then doesn't.

My print jobs are visible but they don't print.

@Laura99 ,

How is the printer connected and to what?  USB, WiFi?

It's Wifi.  But it used to be via USB, same issues.

It could very well be a Windows problem, sounds like a print spooler issue.
