Canon TR4520 PIXMA 1682 COL Install ink cartridges correctly
I have taken the cartridges out several times. It always had error 1682. Finally, I bought a new one. Replaced with new cartridges, and then it works normally for 2 weeks. And then the error 1682 appears again. Turned off the printer even unplugged it and continue to get the same message. Don't understand why I'm just now getting this. Have printed with these for 1 year now. Can you help me for this? Thanks.
I recommend performing a reset of the printer. While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer. Also, make sure they are Canon ink and not third party ink. If the error does not clear, the printer need service.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
