A B200 error on this model. Indicates the printheads have overheated. . This is usually due to age but can also occur if the printer is forced to operate without one of its ink cartridges having enough ink. Printheads have a usable service life like tires, spark plugs and windshield wipers. In this case, replacement probably exceeds the value of your 14 year-old printer.
You can try replacing the printheads, but if this doesn't fix the problem you'll be out a considerable amount of money. Because of this, I would recommend replacing the printer. After 10 plus years, I think it's safe to say you've gotten a good return on your investment.
Canon has an upgrade program for customers in this situation. The upgrade program is offered to users who own products which can no longer be serviced due to age, parts availability or which are not compatible with modern operating systems. They offer a small discount and free shipping on a new device.
