PIXMA MX922 - won't recognize Canon Cyan cartridge

I went to replace the empty Canon Cyan cartridge with a new Canon Cyan cartridge and the printer says it does not recognize it.  The red light is also not on.

See pictures below.

It seems I have a dud cartridge as I have used these same Canon color cartridge packs many times.

How can I get a replacement?
