PIXMA MX922: older model printer not recognized by my desktop computer

I just purchased a PIXMA MX922 printer at a local store that sells used items and it appears to be in perfect condition. However when I tried to set it up using the CD that was provided it didn't complete the set up process and showed "start over" and similar messages. I have a Windows 10 computer and am hoping it can be used for this printer. What else can I do ?

My son got the printer working by going through the "Add Device" menu instead of trying to download from Canon. I did not follow it all, but it looks like the printer was identified and associated wit a driver that way. Whew.
