Hey all,
I was trying to fix a different error with my Canon MX860 and ran a cleaning on it. I got a B200 error so I turned off the printer and attempted to restart it. Completely dead. Will not power on at all. I have tried almost all of the unplug click some combination of buttons or unplug and let it sit for awhile (I unplugged and left it alone for 3 days). I have tested the cord and power supply with a standard voltmeter and am getting power through them so I assume the problem isn't there... I was thinking of trying to connect my computer directly to the printer and powering it on from there, I assume if you just remove the scanner the bottom part should still function as a printer, so the power button is really just fancy decoration, not sure how to go about this though.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX860 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them Monday through Friday at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!
