Please follow these steps:
1. Click on the Windows Start button and then Control Panel.
2. Click on View devices and printers.
3. Right click the Canon MP250 series printer and left click on Printing Preferences.
4. Click on the Maintenance tab.
5. Click on the View Printer Status button.
6. Click on View ink details.
Does the ink level display?
