Got error 5B00 to contact service center. Made a number of contacts and openned the case and cleaned the waste ink abosrober pads. Now I cannot reset the error. And, with the electonic displays there is no way to enter service mode.
What do I do, very frustrating. Heard there was a resetter program at canonresetter.com, but GOOGLE would not let me down load it.
I have fixed the problem, now I just need the reset.
Please advise

Hi peirsondel,
I understand that your MG6220 encountered a 5B00 support code and you have cleaned the waste ink absorber pads. However, you are unable to reset the counter. There is a special tool needed to replace the counter and that is only available through service technician.
You can check with any local electronic repair shops in your area to see if they can perform the cleaning. I would get a quote since it may cost more to repair the printer then it would to replace it.
You also qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program.
This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8 AM to midnight EST.
