Our Pixma MG6220 is still going strong, and we use it every day, on Windows 10. Canon ink cartridges for it are readily available.
I'm getting a new computer and will need drivers and software for the printer (scanning and printing). I have the original Setup CD-ROM. Will that have all the software? If it prompts me to update the software or driver, will that work? The new computer will have Windows 11. Will that be a problem?
Why doesn't Canon at least provide the last available versions of drivers/software?

It may well work in Windows 11 with Win10 drivers.. Try it. I have an MG5420 and an MF8350, and both work great in Win11 with the software they came with or downloaded from Canon.
Many folks assume that upgrading to Windows 11 obsoletes everything they used in Win10 (or even Win7). Not so. Behind the desktop interface, 11 is not all that different from 10. Don't be afraid to try the software you have.
