The cyan color still shows white lines through it on the nozzle check printout.
I have even changed the cartridge to no avail.
suggestions? no improvement shown from one deep cleaning to the next.

For anyone still looking, I really don't know why Canon support doesn't feel able to tell you this:
Removing the print head is easy. Just look for the two clips either side. Soak it in something like Isopropyl Alcohol overnight. Job done - simple. Demos are on Youtube. I would have preferred instructions from Canon and I wouldn't have objected to a disclaimer absolving the company of responsibility.
