I need help: my printer was functioning fine and now when I turn it on the power and error lights flash alternating without ever stopping.
I have checked for jammed paper and replaced both ink cartridges and nothing helps.
the wireless signal is still working because my phone and iPads can both connect to the printer’s wireless network but the error light won’t stop blinking and it won’t print anything.
help!

Hi KellyJenkinsmk,
Most of the causes of these types of errors are either paper jams or due to the encoder being in need of cleaning.
There are 3 videos available that cover checking for and clearing paper jams. Please use the following links:
Clear from paper feed unit:

Clear from inside printer:

Clear paper output slot

Next, please follow the steps in the following article to clean the encoder inside of your PIXMA MG3620:

If the error and power lights continue to blink after performing these, your PIXMA MG3620 would require service. If your PIXMA MG3620 is out of warranty, you are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
