PIXMA MG3620 Technical support needed

Esatis23

This product is one of the worst printers Canon has. What's worst is that they will not provide any real technical support over trying to get their product on my wifi...why do I have to pay for a carepak to receive technical support? Canon are thieves!!! They are stealing our money!!! We don't need to buy a carepak package to get free technical support!! I have already bought the product and you mean to tell me I have to pay extra to get help setting it up??? That's absolutely ridiculous!! and it's robbery!!! They know their products aren't worth anything so they are charging for everything!! Including FREE technical support!!!

Greetings,

In addition to the information and help Danny has requested and offered, I can add the following.

A CarePak is a service contract.  They cover things like hardware repair, accidents, etc.  They also happen to include technical support, but are not required to receive help with product installation.

If you tell us more about your issue, maybe we can help?

Canon is the only company that charges for technical support, that insane ! My only issue is I can not connect to my wifi. Connecting to my wifi has always been an issue but it would connect. I have changed my internet to t-mobile and now it doesn't connect at all! I have done all the troubleshooting possible, I have done, uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, I have changed my WPA to lower, I have turned off my router and rebooted it, I have reset my printer as well. I have used a tablet to see if that would connect, it didn't, I have used my Mac book, and YALL TOOK OUT THE APP FOR MACS why ? So in order to use Canon I HAVE to have the latest Apple laptop? That's also so ridiculous! My MAC book works just fine! Sure it's an older model but it works just fine ! And I can't even use it on my Mac!!! So what else is there...Technical support....THAT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR !!!! insane your products don't work and yall just robbing us to get basic set up help. Despicable.

Phone support is free while you're within warranty. To determine the warranty period, you must register your printer before calling, so that the phone system can verify that you're entitled to live phone support. You can do that at https://canon.us/account

If you're out of warranty, you can pay for one-time access to phone support. (This is an industry-standard)

You also have the option to pay for CarePAK Plus (kind of like AppleCare), which is like an extended warranty that includes support once the initial warranty is exhausted. Learn more about CarePAK Plus at https://canon.us/carepak

Beyond phone support, you have support available via the Canon Community (here), as well as self-help options using your My Canon Account at https://canon.us/account

Also, nobody took any apps away.

You can get the software from the setup here: https://canon.us/48iqxzj

Or from our main website here: https://canon.us/3pt5Hss

I hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Greetings,

New T-Mo router.  Is this new router 5G (only), or dual band?  Supporting both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz broadcasts?

Hello,

New T-Mobile router can run on both 2.4Ghz and 5ghz frequency. but if you'll be connecting a 2.4Ghz printer new wi-fi network needs to be created and settings should be 2.4ghz:frequency and WPA version to WPA-2.
