PIXMA MG3022 XL ink cartridge compatibility

bjroberts52

I have an MG3022 injection printer. I know I should upgrade, but I like what I have a want to keep it.

The Canon website says my printer works with the 245XL and 246XL cartridges. I call BS. I have purchased the XLs and they don't fit.

Are there any versions of the MG3022 (mine is from Walmart) that don't support the XL cartridges?

FINE INK CARTRIDGE & FILL VOLUME
PG-245 PGBK 8.0 ml (Std) / 12.0 ml (XL)

PG-243 PGBK 5.6 ml
CL-244 Color 6.2 ml

I don’t have that printer, but for the printers I have/had the XL and XXL cartridges were all the same size; just more ink. Did you buy Canon OEM cartridges? That’s all I have ever used.

Yes. I got them from Walmart. The same one I got the printer from. The XLs wouldn't snap in. I could get them about 90% of the way in. Just not fully seated.

I'm having the same issue. Did you ever get a cartridge to replace the og pg-243 and cl-244??

All I can find are XL cartridges. Can I still buy the original PG-243 & CL-244 anywhere???

I have tried for two hours to get answers and finding any help on this issue has been impossible to get without being required to pay! Can't Canon help its customers without making us jump through hoops for a simple question to be answered???? Maddening!!

If you purchased ink cartridges from anyone other than Canon USA on our site at usa.canon.com, you will need to contact the seller directly to discuss your options, or you can contact our support team so they can help you verify if the ink is Genuine Canon ink, and help determine why it's not seating properly in your printer. Live phone support is included in your printer's original 1-year warranty. Once the warranty expires, phone support becomes a paid option. Our technicians are highly trained on Canon products, however, they cannot (and will not) help you troubleshoot non-Canon ink.

Our support team is at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666)
Sales is at 800-385-2155

Walmart does not sell just Canon made ink cartridges for the MG3022. They have a lot of  third party ink, which may not fit the printer.
