PIXMA MG2522 - Won't print with custom page settings

I am trying to print on 8.5x11 glossy photo paper. I changed the printer settings to match, but every time I print it gives me an error message (code 4102) saying that the media type and paper size are not set correctly. Any help is appreciated, thank you...

Sorry, the MG2522 is limited to 4"x6" for photo printing. A number of unsuspecting users on this forum have discovered this. Here's what Canon says:

This model is not considered a "photo printer" compared to models that have separate color cartridges, and two blacks. Printing 8.5x11 photos would burn up the color inks in the small-capacity three-color cartridges at an alarming rate. Maybe that's why you aren't allowed to do larger than 4x6.
