I have a PIXMA MG 2922. It prints fine but when I tried to scan some photos to my computer, I get the message,
"Cannot Communicate with scanner. It gives several reasons why it might not be scanning, but none fit. The scanner runs, it's just not showing up on the computer. I've checked everything I know to check. There is also a code that shows up:
2,157.50. Could really use some help. I have also received a message that says there are ports that aren't accessible due to settings, I have no idea what they're talking about, I only have 1port listed. Thanks, gg49
PS: Forgot to add that I have windows 8.1 and a wireless modem through my cable company. Would really appreciate any help that you can give me. Thanks again gg49

Hi!
To ensure the most accurate information is provided, we will need to know the version of Windows or Mac in use, as well as how you have the printer connected (USB or wireless).

Hi gg49,
If you have any antivirus or firewall software on your computer, please temporarily disable them and then attempt to scan again, as sometimes these programs can block the scanning process of the printer. Since you are using the printer wirelessly, you will also want to ensure that the IJ Network Scanner Selector is running on your computer. To do this, please click IJ Network Scanner Selector EX on the Start screen. If IJ Network Scanner Selector EX is not displayed on the Start screen, select the Search charm, then search for "IJ Network Scanner Selector EX".
If you still experience difficulty scanning, please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.
