PIXMA G7020 lines running across the page

I recently bought the Megatank G7020. I love the cheap ink, but am VERY underwhelmed by the results.

…see here…there are LINES running across the page every centimetre or so.

Is this normal? Really disappointed if so, or can I fix this somehow?
