Greetings!
My G7020 has begun to enter an error state with the message on the display "Unexpected Error. Unable to save. [OK]". I am able to click OK a few times and it will clear and I can send a print job over the network, but 20-30 min later, it returns. While it is in the error state, the yellow error icon on the front panel is lit, and the printer will not process any print jobs sent over the wifi network.
Only network connection is over wifi. No ethernet. No USB.
I updated firmware < 1 month ago, but I don't recall any direct correlation, but I might have missed it for a bit since the printer is regularly used in the house, but not heavily used, and wife might have cleared the error and not noted it since it proceeded to work for her.
When I check the system information, the display Current Version = 1.080
Troubleshooting completed so far without success.
Happy to provide additional information - just let me know what is needed.

Hi! Thanks for contributing to the Canon Community Forum. I see that the computer is telling you that your PIXMA G7020 (G7000 series) is in an error state.
To start troubleshooting, please check the paper size and type settings on your computer and make sure that they are the same ones registered on the printer. For information about registering the paper on the printer, please look at the following sections of the manual:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/G7000%20series/EN/UG/ug-107.html
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/G7000%20series/EN/UG/ug-106.html
If there are no settings issues, I recommend that you disable the printer’s IPv6 setting. It can sometimes cause communication trouble between the printer and a Mac computer. Please follow the instructions in the following article:
https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174824
After the setting is disabled, please delete the printer from your computer’s Printers and Scanners list. You can get to that window by clicking on the Apple Symbol, selecting System Settings, and then selecting Printers and Scanners. After the printer has been deleted from that window, please restart your computer. When the computer finishes turning back on, please go back to the Printers and Scanners list to add the printer back.
Once the printer is added back, please try printing. Should the problem persist (or if it returns) please look at the little display on the printer to see if an error is being displayed. Here is the section of the manual that has information about the errors that appear on the printer:
Next, please print out the network information. You can follow the steps in the following section of the online manual:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/G7000%20series/EN/NTR/ntr_n_01_04.html
You will see line numbers on the left side of the network information. Please look for the results in the following lines:
3-2-1
3-2-2
3-2-15
Please write back if you continue to have trouble. In your reply, please provide answers to the following questions regarding the network information that you printed:
Regarding the Network Information that you printed out…
I hope this information helps. Thanks again.
