PIXMA G6065 not printing color

Hi Canon Community Members, 

I’m currently using a secondhand Canon G6065 printer, but it is only printing in black and yellow.

Upon inspection, I noticed that the three color ink hoses connecting the ink tanks to the print head contain no visible ink; only the black ink hose is filled. I tried using a syringe from a print head cleaning kit to draw ink through the hoses. While cyan ink moved halfway through the hose, magenta and yellow ink returned to the tank as soon as I released the suction.

Could this be the reason why the printer is not printing in full color?

I would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting steps you could provide.
