PIXMA G3260 wont print good photos

My printer used to print photos great, we didn't use it for a few months and then went to print again and the photo comes out with messed up colors, like all red or purple and red instead of the color it should be.

I ran a cleaning 3 times and did a nozzle check and the colors looked good on the nozzle check but the photos almost look worse for color.

When I tried to do a deep cleaning the system wouldn't complete the cleaning and would instead through error code 5200.

I tried unplugging and doing an ink flush but the photos still look poor and if I try a deep cleaning I still get that same error code.

Not sure what to do we got this printer a couple of years ago but that still seems crazy for us to need to replace it when we haven't even gone through all the colors once yet.

Labass16,

Please print a nozzle check and then either scan that page or take a photo of it and then please attach it to your reply of this post.

To print this, please follow these steps:

1.  Please turn your PIXMA G3260 on.

2.  Press the wrench and screwdriver button on your PIXMA G3260 one time.

3.  Press the right arrow 3 times to select Maintenance and press OK.

4.  Press OK on Nozzle Check.

The test page will be printed.

It's okay, I was able to fix it.

If anyone else has the same issue I did another ink flush and then waited 24 hrs. After 24 hrs I did a regular clean and then a deep clean and it allowed the deep clean after that 24 hr wait (I imagine the ink had to soke in after the flush). After that photos came out looking nice.

Hi Labass16,

Thank you for letting us know how you were able to resolve the issue!
