A lot of people seem to have a version of this problem. I have a new iMac running Catalina 10.15.5 and a new Canon Pixma TS 8350 printer. I ran all the installation software suggested by Canon, and it prints very well, but it won't scan from the Mac.
I can scan to a cloud service (Dropbox in my case) direct from the printer's control panel. Image Capture on the Mac can see the scanner, so it is definitely on the network, but neither the utility provided by Canon (IJ Scan Utility Lite) nor Image Capture can start the scanner, and one gets error messages suggesting for example that the WiFi signal is weak (it's 100%). Canon support have suggested that anti-virus software or WiFi extensions can prevent scanning, but I find this hard to believe. Is there ANY way of running a scan from the Mac?
