PIXMA TR4700 Series: won't connect to new Wi-Fi router

TR4700 - I have had this printer for several years now, it was connected to WiFi through a Starlink satellite and router during that time. I have the Canon app on my iPhone and iPad, we were able to print from all devices in our home. We moved 3 days ago, 1 mile from our previous address. We have a new Starlink satellite and router but I cannot get the printer to recognize it. I have tried the usual tricks, turning everything off/on, bringing the printer next to the router, manually inputting the name of the network to no avail. The unit recognizes a router associated with our solar system and a router that is not ours, we have no password for this, but not the Starlink. I am at my wits end, I really don't want to have to purchase a new printer. Please advise.

Thanks for joining the conversation, jeroberts518!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TR4700 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the upper right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

I am having the exact same problem except I didn't move...only have a new ISP and wifi network. I have tried everything to connect to my new wifi. The printer screen on my TR4700 tells me to follow the directions on my smartphone but there are no directions. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it to no avail. On the printer screen, I can do the easy setup but when I get to the wifi password, I'm not able to enter the symbol in it because the printer keypad doesn't have them! Surely this printer isn't meant to only function with one wifi network only?!?!

Hi LauraHatcher,

Please start a new topic, your own to receive assistance.

FYI.  You can toggle between character sets by pressing the tone or set up button on your device.  I cannot be more exact since we do not know the model of your device.  Again however, please start your own topic and we'd be happy to assist you.  You can use the link below.

I was mainly replying to jeroberts518 to let them know that I'm having the same issues. I will start a new topic if my IT friend cannot help me with the connection problem. Thanks so much for your help!
