Need help to reconnect to my wireless printer

josephbab

I have not had problems with my Canon MX890 wireless printer until today. I had a new modem installed and my internet connection now works perfectly, but in the process I loss connection to my printer and I want to know how to reconnect our 4 laptops (4 in the family) to the printer. Can't locate directions that came with the printer.

Suggestions?  Thank you.

Found a nice online tutorial how to reconnec t pwireless printer to computers after you have installed a new modem ...

EXCEPT the instructions indicate that the CD-Rom is required that came with the MX890 series.

The problem is I am such a neatnik (usually) ... and I have found neither my owner's manual nor my CD-Rom.

This morning I thought to look in the original box the printer came in. No luck. Nada.

I guess that the only solution is to keep looking.

Any other suggestion from someone in this forum?

Thanks,

Joseph

You can download the manual from the link I posted above and the driver from here

The links provided were of some help, but I felt like I wasstill caught  in a maze and could not find the way out of the problem with our printer.

What did I do? I finally thought to telephone our Internet provider, who had installed a new router for us, which actually triggered the problem.

They were VERY helpful and got the wireless printer reconnected to the computers.

Everything is fine now and we are all happy.
