My MG2545S printer cartridge does not come to the center position for me to change the cartridge. I move it manually

When you open the cover the carriage with the cartridge should automatically go to the position of the new cartridge. If the carriage does not move, the problem is likely a carriage sensor fault and it would be determind to force it.

If the printer cover has been left open for more than 10 minutes, the cartridge holder will automatically move to a protective position. Close and reopen the cover to reset it.

A follow up to my post:

To troubleshoot a stuck cartridge carriage on a Pixma MG2545s, first turn off the printer, unplug it, and open the printer cover to check for any debris or paper jams blocking the cartridge's path. If the cartridge is still stuck, gently wiggle it back and forth to loosen it, and ensure it is properly aligned in its slot.
