Message is given that cassette is open and to load paper

I have reloaded cassette as always and it appears closed. What can I do now?

It is a Canon TS6420a, purchased this year. I reloaded paper yesterday and printed out something. When I tried to print today, I got the error message that cassette was open and to load paper.

You may want to contact support so they can walk you through some troubleshooting. They're at 800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666). If you haven't already, you may find it beneficial to register your printer at canon.us/account before you call.
