MegaTank PIXMA G3290

I am trying to find out if the MegaTank PIXMA G3290 model supports mass document scanning. I have noticed that it only has a blank paper feed available, and I can’t find any information about a document feeder for originals. I need to confirm whether this model can scan multiple 8x10 documents at once, as I don’t want to place each page individually on the glass. So far, I haven’t been successful in determining if it has this capability. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi! Thanks for contributing to the Canon Community.

I'm sorry, but the PIXMA G3290 does not have an Auto Document Feeder. It has one paper source (the Rear Tray) which is used for loading the paper that you want to use for printing. The Rear Tray is located in the back of the printer and accessed through the top (close to the rear). You cannot use that tray for scanning originals.

We do have other printers that come with an Auto Document Feeder (also called an ADF). That feeder is located directly above the scanning unit. The most comparable printer that has an ADF is the PIXMA G4280. If you would like to look at the manual page for that printer to see what an ADF looks like, you can check the following link:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/G4080%20series/EN/UG/ug-118.html

Not all of the printers features appear on the box, so I would recommend checking the printer's official website. On Canon's website, the ADF is usually mentioned in the printer's Overview, but can sometimes be listed in the Specifications. For the G4280, it appears in the Overview section of the following site:
https://www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/megatank-pixma-g4280

If the printer's website does not mention ADF or Auto Document Feeder either in the Overview or the Specifications, it is very likely that the printer does not have that feature.

I hope this information helps. Thanks again.
