Hi, jmaidon!
To ensure the most accurate information is provided, we will need to know the version of Windows or Mac in use, how the printer is connected (USB or wireless), and any specific error messages you may be running into.
If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).
Thanks and have a great day!

Running Windows 8.1....connecting wireless. However even when plugged in, I still cannot scan from unit. No error codes just displays "Wait a while" then just returns to normal display.

Hi jmaidon,
You will need to have the Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector running on your computer in order to scan wirelessly from the operation panel of the printer. To ensure it is running, from the Windows Start screen, near the bottom of the window below the tiles you will see a down arrow. Please click on the arrow, then look for the Canon Utilities section and click on the icon for the IJ Network Scanner Selector EX. Once the program is launched, please attempt to scan again.
Hope this helps!

When I get to the Canon Utilities, there is only an option to choose my model or a large support icon.

Hi jmaidon,
I would like to have you reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the Canon USA website to see if this will allow you to scan. When reinstalling the drivers, please ensure that any antivirus for firewall software that is on your computer is temporarily disabled, as these programs can sometimes block the printer from being detected on the network. Once the printer is detected successfully, the protection software can be re-enabled.
Please click here to go to the Drivers and Software page for the PIXMA MX432. Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click the MINI MASTER SETUP file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once you have downloaded and installed the Mini Master Setup file, please attempt to scan again. If you still experience difficulty, please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.
