MX410 printer-black ink prints copies but won't print from PC

I just replaced the black ink cartridge in my PIXMA MX-410 printer.  The cartridge prints fine when I use the printer to make a copy, but now the black ink cartridge will not print a document sent from the pc.  The printer accepts and reads the document sent from the PC, as it prints documents in color just fine but all of the spaces for the black ink come out completely blank.  I have tried printing various types of documents (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.) and the black print cartridge won't print any of them.

 

I have already tried the following:

- aligned print cartridges (both using printer and computer commands)

- cleaned nozzle heads

- checked print property settings (to make sure I didn't have my ink cartridge settings on color only, etc.)

- changed out the cartridge, in case it was just a bad ink cartridge, including reinserting the previous cartridge that worked fine but was just getting a little light.  Now that one also won't even print.

Hello.

 

For testing purposes, perform two copies directly from the printer using both the Black and Color start buttons.  Do both copies come out correctly?

The exact same issue has happened to me.   Any help and assistance with this matter, would be most appreciated.   Thank you, Janice

I have exactly the same problem with my Mac OS 10 both colour and b/w. I have deep cleaned it, my ink cartridges are full. It prints out a colour check just fine. But when I try to copy or print the pages come out blank, even though the orinter is srtill doing printer things. It was working fine two days ago.
