MGS5420 Manual unhelpful. Any face-to-face instruction in Wash, DC area?

As above.  I am looking for tutorials or classes in the Washington, DC area to help learn how to us the PIXMA MGS 5420 printer/scanner/copier I just bought.  I find the Manual is too confusing and poorly written.  

Maybe Canon has places where this instruction can be found, or maybe there are consultants in the area?
