I have a Canon Pixma MG7520 that has no ink cartridges in it. I just want to use it to scan photos and documents but it refuses to work without ink. Is there a way around this?

Greetings,
The MG7520 requires ink and will not operate as a scanner without inks installed.

Well that seems like a piss-poor design choice.
I appreciate your help @shadowsports!

Thanks for being active in our community! We're happy to share that it's possible to scan with an empty ink tank or cartridge. To start scanning, follow the instructions at this link.
