I downloaded driver software for my mg2120 but no icon appears in start up window on my laptop. Did I miss something?

I'm using windows8.1 on a toshiba sattelite laptop. I downloaded scanner software, and it asked me if I wanted to display an icon, but the driver software didn't give me that option. Thanks for replying.

Hi anthony,
An icon for the printer is not made on the Desktop when it is installed. If you are trying to access the printer, you can simply press the CTRL + P keys in any application you are printing from to bring up the print window and print.
To access the printer driver to make changes to settings such as paper size and paper type, please follow these steps:
1. On your keyboard, hold the Windows key and press " X ".
2. Click CONTROL PANEL.
3. Select DEVICES AND PRINTERS.
4. Find the icon for your PIXMA MG2120 and right-click over it, then select PRINTING PREFERENCES.
5. Make the settings as desired in the window, then press the OK button to save the changes.
I hope this helps!
