MG 6220 won't scan wireless

MG6220 will print wirelessly but the scanner won't work.  I get the following error message:

Cannot scan for these reasons:

-Scanner is turned off.

-USB cable is disconnected

Please check and try again

Scanner driver will be closed.

Windows 10.  Uninstalled & reinstalled MP Navigator Ex to no avail.  Opened preferences to change Product Name but only one is listed.  Will scan using windows utility but that is very limited & won't create PDF files.  How can I get it to work properly?
