So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG2500 series. The model number should appear on the top of the printer just above the on/off button.
We also need to know whether you're trying to connect via Wi-Fi or a USB cable, and what version of macOS is running on your computer.
