How do I print in black and white on my Pixma MG2922 with a Macbook Air????

pls help ._. i got this printer for $60 but idk how to use it lol i don't want to keep wasting the color ink !! I have a macbook air.

Hi mduong,

You can set your PIXMA MG2922 to only print from the black ink cartridge.  This is done through the printer driver.

To set this, please follow these steps:

1.  Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner and then System Preferences

2.  Click on Printers & Scanners

3.  Click 1 time on your PIXMA MG2922 on the left side and then click Options & Supplies on the right

4.  Click Open Printer Utility in Utility tab

5.  The IJ Printer Utility will open.  Select Ink Cartridge Settings from the pop up menu.

6.  Select the black ink cartridge and click OK.

Step 6 is slightly incorrect, at least for MacOS Catalina. You need to click the "Apply" button, then again a second time to confirm.
